LeBron Raymone James Sr., born 30th December 1984, is an American professional basketball player who represents the Los Angeles Lakers (NBA). Nicknamed King James he is widely thought to be one of the best basketball players ever and has often been compared with Michael Jordan in debates over the greatest basketball player ever. James has been awarded four NBA championships, four NBA MVPs, three All-Star MVPs and two Olympic medals. James is second in greatest number of goals in his career and seventh in assists. James has been chosen as an NBA All-Star 18 times. The NBA All-Star has made the All-NBA Team 18 times, an all-time record. He was also selected for the NBA All-Defensive First Team 5 times. In total, he participated in more than 10 NBA Finals, the third-most of all time. This includes eight straight between 2011 and 2018. James was selected for his way onto the NBA 75th Anniversary Team in 2021. In 2022, James became one of the few NBA player to earn 10,000 career points. James played basketball at St. Vincent St. Mary High School, located in Akron Ohio. The national media celebrated James as an NBA superstar. The Cleveland Cavaliers selected him with the top pick in the NBA draft in 2003. He was named the NBA rookie of the year in 2004. Then he was one of the top players in the NBA and was awarded both the NBA MVP Award both 2009 and 2010. In the end, he failed to capture an NBA championship, Cleveland James left in 2010 by way of a free-agent to become a member of with the Miami Heat this was announced on television in the special The Decision and is among the most controversial free-agent choices in sports history.
